This is a fairly ancient piece & some of you may have seen it before, but I couldn't resist pulling it out again for this week's IF prompt, "Shadows." I think any illustrator will recognize the subject!
Acrylic on paper, 6"x9" Please click for a closer view... there's a lot going on in the border!

OMG! This is awesome. The killer is in the details!!! I LOVE THIS!!! Just my type. Thank you for making me smile this morning.
Wow! You really captured the agony. Painful. Great piece!
Great eyes!
This is very good piece , beautifully illustrated. The hands of ECM, of course...
So excellently captures that close to deadline feeling!
This is great! Something about it makes me think of Edger Allen Poe; probably those tormented eyes!
Oh the deadlines and their looming-ness
AAaaaaaaah! Deadlines, nooooooo! Hahaha, oh goodness, this is fantastic! I know that look well.
Thank you all for the kind comments... it's comforting to know I'm not alone with these deadly deadline dramas!
Heh Leah, ahh yes I can recognise this from my life in general. I am so glad you are posting again. I'm off to check your odds :)
I am really loving all of your work. It's amazing and I can't wait to see more.
You are amazing.
Thank you, Andrew, Tiffany & Lynette!
I apologize for my long absence-- spread myself a little too thin, but I'm trying to shape up & get posting again!
Love the detail, and I'm thinking,it's patience in this drawing :)
Nice stroke / I love your style.
:)
Wow! Brains, and hearts and arms and such! This is great! Btw, I'm looking forward to your animation adventures :) and...thanks for your nice comment!
you continue to amaze and delight me! Elizabeth
very special work
Ha! Even if it's old, this is a really clever approach to the theme (it was perennial, right?). I love the technique - you really captured that sort of deadened gaze, and the lack of much color really helps cement it. I feel like this should've been a poster in my dorm room, haha. Great stuff!
Thank you for your comment Leah, I really appreciate it... Love your work!
Fabulous
Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog! Keep up the good work and best of luck in your digital drawing!
