Terra Incognita

Or is it Terror Incognita?
For IF topic "Green"--

I'm trying to learn web design so that I can modify my main website, & it's a big, scary new world for me. I feel like a baby taking its first wobbly steps... or a bud just unfurling in iffy weather...

I did this piece digitally to remind myself that I felt equally terrified when I first started learning to "paint" in Photoshop. Now it's just another tool... maybe there's hope.

This is such a beautiful image. If you can paint in photoshop, you can edit a webpage. No problem!

Very nice image! The muted colors remind me of the artwork on Smashing Pumpkin's Mellon Collie record.

Maybe it's terror incognita..since she is a bit scared..but it could be terra too cause she is so involved in those plant style things!

This is really wonderful - its visually stunning, but it also captures that feeling of venturing into uncharted territory. Uncommonly nice work.

Your work is always beautiful and cool! Learning web design? I'd be happy to help if you have questions. Another great learning source is lynda.com, who is a client of mine. Her web site offers online training videos. You could have access to the whole library for $25 per month, no contract. Topics include web design, Photoshop, and a ton more. I think it's a great learning tool. You can view some samples for free too. If you have questions for me, let me know. www.scottcuzzo.com

Hi Leah, I love all of your work...beautiful style! Truly gorgeous. Thank you for commenting at my blog. I too would like to learn web design and feel a bit like I will be entering an alien world. Glad to hear that I'm not alone with that feeling.

Another great piece by one of my favourite IF contributors. I look forward to your next posting. Thanks so much for your kind comment. You're right, the small image doesn't show the detail, but I like to think it's there for those who are curious enough to discover it.

Leah,
Love that lonely bee hive pic!
I recently heard a theory that the
bees are fine and simply returning
to their original homeland-- Venus!
All part of their natural cosmic cycle ....that's a long trip for
a little bee, don't you think?
